ABOUT YOUR PRESCRIPTION:
Sphere (SPH): indicates the amount of lens power prescribed to correct either nearsightedness (-) or farsightedness (+).
Cylinder (CYL): indicates the amount of lens power prescribed to correct either nearsighted astigmatism (-) or farsighted astigmatism (+).
Axis: indicates the direction (0 to 180) in which the cylindrical power needs to be placed. 90 is a vertical position and 180 is horizontal. This will be present only if you have astigmatism to correct.
ADD: indicates the additional correction you need for reading and is used in progressive lenses or reading glasses. The ADD power (+0.5 to +3.50) is typically the same for both eyes and only one value may be present on your prescription.
Pupillary Distance (PD): is the distance between your pupils in millimeters; used to determine where your pupils fall within the lens. The average range is 57 - 68mm.
Missing values on prescription: if your prescription is missing values for any of the above, except PD, it means that there is no adjustment needed and you should select the '0' value.
Additional values on prescription: If you have additional information which you are not able to submit in the available fields, please select 'Add additional info' to provide that information.
